The building sits on a prominent corner site. The circular spiral staircase enclosed in stainless steel mesh and the cantilevered roof punctured with large holes are dramatic features of the scheme. The building sits on the brick wall that runs around the entire school. Above the wall the block is white rendered with cedar infill panels, with a blue side wall overlooking an all-weather playing pitch. Internally each student has their own bedroom, an en-suite shower and WC (prefabricated off site) and a full height window and balcony.
